2014: Dates to Create Jays/Bisons Doubleheaders

In conjunction with the Jays putting single game tickets on sale at 10am.

The upcoming 2014 baseball season presents five opportunities to watch both Toronto Blue Jays and Buffalo Bisons home games live on the same day.

The prerequisites for inclusion on this list: obviously games on the same day, as well as a minimum of four hours between first pitch. 

April 4th

Bisons vs Rochester (MIN) 2:05

Jays Home Opener vs Yankees 7:05

The home opener promotion includes a rally towel, 2014 magnet schedule and typically a random draw car giveaway from Honda.

Added bonus: ability to pro-rate stats for the rest of the season. Remember when Adam Lind was on pace for 972 RBI?!

June 7th:

Jays vs St. Louis 1:07

Bisons vs Syracuse (WAS) 6:05

I accidentally attended Star Wars night a few years back and it’s a fun time at the ballpark. Now I’m not a huge Star Wars guy, but the Bisons and Star Wars fans do such a good job hosting the event. Highlights include in-between innings light sabre ‘battles’ as entertainment, trivia on the scoreboard, the surreal nature of having a bunch of costumed characters running around the concourse and of course themed uniforms.

June 26th:

Jays vs Chicago White Sox 7:07

This is one of the eight games in 2014 that Jays fans can purchase an all-you-can-eat ticket to the 200 level outfield. From there you can pig out on Hot Dogs, Nachos, Popcorn, Pop, etc.

July 2nd:

August 23rd:

Bisons vs Pawtucket (BOS) 7:05

The Bisons are giving away 3000 Bobbleheads of one of their in-between inning racing characters, Chicken Wing.
