2014 Topps Blue Jays Inserts

On January 29th, the 2014 series 1 edition of ‘Topps Baseball Cards’ hit the market.

The bland base set includes 13 Blue Jays. You can view Ryan Goins RC (and all cards in the above Gallery) by

  • Manually pressing the arrow keys near the cards
  • Holding down your cursor and sliding the cards
  • On touch screens (Windows 8, Tablets, etc) manually swiping

Checklist:

Card # Player
30 Mark Buehrle
84 Todd Redmond
95 Brandon Morrow
98 Edwin Encarnacion
99 Melky Cabrera
165  Rajai Davis
175  Casey Janssen
177  Esmil Rogers
247 Anthony Gose
252 Kevin Pillar RC
273 Mark DeRosa
319 Ryan Goins RC
323 Jose Bautista

The card designs get a little more interesting within the insert sets, with a few blasts from the past and plenty of love for Jose Bautista.

With boxes retailing for $55 US, and minimal Jays representation, a die-hard Toronto fans best bet is to wait a few weeks for prices to drop and hit’up the after market on Ebay.

Which Card Design is your Favourite? I’m personally leaning towards the Jose Reyes insert.

Cal and I busted a box of this today. Topps has added WAR to the stat line. Very nice.

WAR, interesting. I wonder how long it will be until Topps releases a completely Sabermetric set?
