I’ve always heard rumors about Babe Ruth’s involvement with professional wrestling, whether it be during his career in the off-season or after his playing days.

Yet I’d never seen any proof to support this. That’s until I came across this little scan from the New York Times.

I’m not sure if this answers any questions. Any internet or book search yields the same result, which is myself being unable to find any info on whether Ruth actually refereed this match or any other. If anyone has any info please add it to the comments section.
