Let’s face it, we small blogger’s can’t compete with the ESPN’s of the world. We work just as hard as these outlets and post regularly. Yet our work is exposed to a select group of readers. I think its safe to say every blog owner would like to have their work exposed to the maximum number of readers possible.
To accomplish/aid this process, what we need is a partnership/union of sorts. Off the top of my head, here are two ideas;
- Link Exchange
Exchanging links with related links help’s everyone. It can lead to added visitors from other blogs and it certainly helps search engine placement. We independents need all of the help that we can get.
- Article Exchange
What better way to expose yourself to new visitors than by getting your articles posted on a different site? Here’s an example;
Write an article and post it on your site on let’s say Tuesday. Then pinch hit/trade the article to another site on Thursday, and post their article in exchange on your site the same day. The benefit? Your base will still read your article, your article is exposed to another site and you give your own visitors something different. It’s a win-win situation. All that’s needed is a brief bio at the end of the article. Something along the lines of Tom runs X blog, a blog focusing on X, at “http://www.x.com/”
I’m sure there are some other ideas out there. Post them if you’ve got them.

Dude, I’m totally up for this. Drop me a line, or I’ll send you an email soon, and maybe we can hook something up at the very least with a link exchange, and hopefully some article exchanges. You’re stuff is top notch; take a look at my baseball blog and let me know what you think (it’s mostly general baseball stuff, but being from toronto, has a bit of a slant focusing on Blue Jays ins and outs)

Both ideas sound good. I gemerally write general baseball articles that are applicable to fantasy baseball. See my jumping the gun on the White Sox/Houston article as an example.

I’d be interested. I’m writing about more than baseball now. Once the fantasy season gets going I’ll go all baseball all the time, then I’d be interested.
