Kit Pellow Bio

Kit Pellow is a former MLB ballplayer who is currently making a MOCKERY of Mexican League pitching. Who is this guy!?!?!?!

As you can see, Pellow is currently an offensive juggernaut. With an OPS around 1.200 and a SO:BB ratio near 1:1 you would have to think that MLB teams would be sniffing around this guy sooner or later. Is he on the Tijuana juice or is he just a late bloomer? Lets see where it all began for this cat named Kit.

Kit Donovan Pellow (born August 28, 1973, in Kansas City, Missouri) is a Mexican League Baseball Player and 1st Baseman for the Saltillo Saraperos. He played collegiately for the University of Arkansas.
Drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 22nd round of the 1996 MLB amateur draft, Pellow would make his Major League Baseball debut with the Kansas City Royals on August 14, 2002. Following Kansas, Kit played for the Colorado Rockies and Seattle Mariners before being released.

After Seattle dropped him, he played for the Lotte Marines of the Korean League and then joined Todd Betts’ La New Bears of the Chinese Professional Baseball League before moving on to Mexico and tearing the roof off the mutha.
Pellow is also the recipient of the prestigious Topps AAA All Star award (1999) and was a PCL Post-Season All Star in 1999.

Never heard of this guy.
Slugging the crap out of the ball.
I figure the stint in Colorado in 2004 finished off most of his hopes. A garbage OPS and the awful SO:BB ratio.
Maybe he’s changed his tune.

He is too old to rock n roll but too young to die.

Maybe the deal is someone finally LEFT him on a team long enough for him to feel comfortable… novel idea.

Kit made some comments in an S.I. interview about steroids being done in the locker room . After that he never got a long look. Was as good as most of the other scrubs in KC at the time. Played behind Helton in Colorado. Then was out of the league pretty quick. Interesting…

I remember watching Kit play in Omaha. Very good player. Years later I met his mom whom I worked with. Only wish his dad could have seen his Major League Debut. He was from above though. Good Luck Kit.

I played with Kit for many years and feel that he was miss understood. He was the type of guy who beat to his own drum and was not going to conform to the norm. I feel the only reason why Kit did not have a long MLB career is that politically he just did not care. But there is no question that he had the ability to put up huge numbers in MLB and that he loves the game of baseball. Kit where ever you are playing keep on BANGIN!!! WOO HOO!!!!!!!

Kit is one heck of a player. I have followed him ever since he became part of our extended family. He has always been one position short….whenever a club was ready to play him, the starter had a season that he had never had before and that put the halt to moving Kit to a starter. It was great to see him when he got to play here in St. Louis when he was with the ROX and hopefully he will get another chance……

I saw Kit play in the Ariz. Fall League. He could really hit the ball but not a great 3rd baseman though. Kind of followed his career with the Rockies and saw they were trying him as catcher. I believe he played one year with the Independent league, the Amer.Asoc. but am not sure. Would love to know more about him in 2009. My grand son also played with him in amature ball.

I have followed, or tried to follow Kit since 2000 in Omaha. I have his jersey hanging up in our recroom. I always thought he was good enough, but sometimes in the bigs, you need a break. It never seemed he got one. He always dreamed of playing for the Royals, since he grew up around there. I was lucky enough to see him make his major league debut in KC. Unfortunately, he has never been able to do in the big leagues what he is doing in Mexico. Just look at his SO/BB ratio and RBI production. Love the guy, and wish him the best, but he’s done in the bigs.
