Mark Your Calendars – April 17th!
On April 17th, 2010 we would like to have a Mop Up Duty Meet Up. It is the first weekend home series of the season and the Jays will be playing the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at 1:05pm. We would love to see you there!
When it gets close to the actual game, we will pick a section and everyone can get their own tickets. Right now the purpose of this post is to gauge interest. If this is something you want to be a part of, leave a comment in the comment section below and we will keep you updated. Now I know some of you are shy (since we get about 1 comment for every 1000 hits) or you don’t want to figure out how our comment section works. If that is the case, drop me a line at cal at mopupduty dot com.
Of course it will be the most fun time at a Jays game you will have this season and promises to be interesting. You can use the opportunity to come out of the baseball nerd closet and talk baseball with other Jays fans. You can even take the opportunity to critique us/make fun of us/argue with us if you like since we won’t be able to hide behind a keyboard!
If nobody wants to do this, we will cancel it and it will probably just be Kman and I sitting in the 500 level arguing over whether Jeremy Sowers is a legit major league pitcher. Don’t let that happen.

Would love to, but travel from NS not as easy. Been fan for as long as I can remember waiting till I finish masters that going to be the big trip to Toronto and spend a Week at the Sky dome/ Rogers Centre

That is a great idea, Raven. However, the G20 summit is happening at that time and the schedule is subject to change. Once those wrinkles get ironed out we’ll look into it for sure!
