Thank Goodness for Scott Rolen

Scott Rolen’s weak ground out to the pitcher is turning point of last nights game.

Yes, Scott Rolen saved the Jays on Tuesday night vs the A’s. With the tie scored in the bottom of the 9th with runners on first and second Rolen hits into the infield ground out. However, he doesn’t even get enough wood on it for the A’s to turn the double play. Setting up hero Kevin Mench to come through with the game winning hit.

What is it going to take to motivate this guy. He was going to make Bobby Geren look like a genius, walk the unproven but hot hitting Adam Lind to get to the grizzled All-Star Rolen and Rolen show everyone what he is made of. A grounder even to weak to turn two. He finished 0-for-4. Great.

Congratulations Scott and keep up the good work.
