Jose “Mambo” Lima improved his record to 2-0 on the season while lowering his ERA to 1.29 by pitching in a complete game 6-2 win over Aguascalientes. A peculiar thing about Lima’s gem is that while he surrendered only 7 hits and 1BB, he struck out NONE over the 9 innings. I am not sure if the umpire was giving El Mambo a small strike zone or Lima was pitching to contact, but it is odd that he didn’t strike out a single batter.
