NL is Outdrawing the AL by Leaps and Bounds

The NL is the weaker league but have fans coming out in droves compared to the Jr. Circuit.

In the early going teams are closing in on a quarter of their home games NL clubs are miles ahead of AL teams. Of the bottom third of attendance rankings AL teams consist of 7. The Pirates and Marlins are 29 and 30 respectivley and for teams ranked 18-28, The Reds are the only NL club.

Only 4 AL clubs, Boston, Detroit, New York and Detroit are averaging 65% capacity. 11 NL teams are over that mark.

The NL stalwarts, Dodgers, Cubs, Mets and Cards are all on pace as per normal. The NL cellar dwellars are able to attract crowds whereas the AL divison leaders cannot. The Padres, Giants and Rockies are all averaging over 30,000. The Orioles, Devil Rays and Athletics, who have all been in first place sometime last week, all average under 22,000 per home game.
