On a Zack Greinke Watch

While his era has begun to rise, no one envisioned Zack maintaining a sub 2 ERA all season, so its not that big of a deal. His season line looks great, 5 – 4 with a 3.48 ERA and a 67/32 SO/BB ratio. However he’s walked 11 over his last 2 starts (in 12 IP). Combining his past five outings Greinke has a 6.10 ERA and his SO/BB levels are 24/17. I’m certainly interested to see if Greinke can cut down on his walk totals in the coming starts. Its unfortunate to say this but with his past troubles one has to be concerned with command issues and how he’ll deal with them mentally.
