Tigres Update

Estadio Beto Avila

The Quintana Roo Tigres lost their home opener 5-2 in a game shortened to 6 innings because of rain.

As you can see, Estadio Beto Avila is looking like it is in a lot better shape than when I visited it approximately 3 weeks ago.  Still no sign of former Yankee Antonio Osuna in the boxscores, however the season is only 2 games young.  The home opener was sold out within hours of the box office being open, which is good news for baseball in Cancun.

Hopefully they can keep it up over the season, unless they are like fickle Toronto fans.
