Kman back for a quickie. I’ll get back at you in the near future with a set of snappy, KQuality articles.

Anyways, to pass the time here’s something that we all like here at the MUD, ballparks.

Cisco presents a preview with video of upcoming ballparks in New York, Oakland, Washington, and Minnesota.

Thoughts: From the look of things, the new Oakland stadium is very similar to that in Texas. I’m not a big fan of the Mets trying to steal some of the Dodgers love with their front Ebbets style entrance. Yankee Stadium seems like a bit of a waste to me, although the corporate box revenue should pay for the park in a decade or two. The park in Minnesota looks great. I’m not too sure that I want to catch an early regular season or post-season game in the snow. They must be counting on Global warming. All things said, many of these new parks appear similar to what we’ve seen out in Philly, Texas, and others in the past ten years. I like quirks and I didn’t see too many. One area that the video’s don’t touch on is increased technology. If anyone of these parks isn’t built without Wi-Fi or other forward looking innovations then their really missing out.

New Yankee Stadium will be more like Old Yankee Stadium than Philly or Texas. I am on board in the surprise no retractable dome in Minnesota. One of the main reasons they abandoned The Met was the weather.
