Washington Nationals Sporting the Camouflage

Rather unintentionally, we’re starting to build up a collection of uniform stories. Hey, don’t blame us! We just report the stupid and absurd, which seems to be in a great abundance these days.

Supporting the armed troops yesterday, the Washington Nationals sported Blue Camouflage hats for Armed Forces Appreciation Day. Here’s Ryan Church (not state) in all of his camo glory.

During the telecast, they interviewed Ryan. He has a brother that’s deployed in Iraq as an Army Ranger. To help give back, the Nationals were gracious enough to sign a number of these monstrosities for outgoing troops. Give Ebay a gander in a couple of days and you might become the proud recipient of one of these “gems”.

I don’t know about you, but next year I propose a battle to end all battles, one could say the true “World Series”, with the Blue Camo Nationals taking on the decking out San Diego Padres.
