Adam Loewen Heating Up
At the end of May this season I wrote about the struggling Adam Loewen. Well Jays fans, it looks like things are starting to turn around for him!
As you can see, Loewen is a new man. Turning a miserable first half into fairly decent production in the 2nd half, Loewen has even thrown in a few steals as well! His walks are up, his strikesouts are down and the slugging is way up. All great signs as Adam seems to be settling into a groove.
While looking at his numbers, I noticed an odd split. Loewen hits much better against lefties than he does righties!
I’m not sure what that’s about but it is something to keep an eye on.
Not bad. I’d like to see a little more HR power. It may come in a few seasons. What do you think the ETA is realistically for Lowen at the MLB level?
Yes, the old adage is that power is the last thing to come. As for Loewen’s ETA, I agree with Alex Anthopolous in that Loewen needs about 1000 AB’s and at that point you can evaluate what you have in him. It is too early to tell still.
