Yesterday (March 21) Jose Lima made his pitching debut, starting for the Saltillo Saraperos.
Lima went 5 innings, giving up 8 hits, 2 ER, walked 3 and struck out 2. He left with a no-decision as the game went to extra innings and Saltillo eventually lost to Monterrey 6-4. Lima also committed a throwing error on a pickoff attempt. All in all, not a bad performance to start off the year.
Is that the uniform? It looks like something I’d wear in tyke baseball, when my team was sponsored by a pizza joint.
Surprisingly yes, though it is a bad shot. They also have a more traditional uniform with a players number and no advertisements. You can check it out here: http://www.saraperos.com.mx/
