Ted Williams HOF Video
A while back I did a ballpark review of Tropicana Field, home of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Part of the review and the ballpark itself is the Ted Williams Museum and Hitters Hall of Fame. The official website sums things up pretty nicely;
Ted Williams Museum and Hitters Hall of Fame brings a special element to Tropicana Field. Fans can view an array of different artifacts and pictures of the “Greatest hitter that ever lived.” These memorable displays range from Ted Williams’ days in the military through his professional playing career. This museum is dedicated to some of the greatest players to ever “lace ’em up,” including Willie Mays, Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, and Sadaharu Oh.
The Rays invite all fans to enjoy this unique experience in sharing a rare glimpse into these extraordinary players’ lives.
The Museum is located just past the rotunda on the right-hand side. Admission to the museum is free to the thousands of fans attending Devil Rays home games.
During my visit I took a few photos. I put them together into a YouTube slideshow presentation. The Hall of Fame makes a trip to the Trop a must if your in the area during the regular season.
Does Williams have any ties to the Tampa area? Love that Grays jersey and Clemente exhibit.
He retired there and liked his fishing. Pretty weak link in my eyes. Although he really liked his fishing…
He loved up his Atlantic Salmon fishing in New Bruswick too. There should be a Ted Williams museum too.
